Trinity Road area spanning Napa, Sonoma counties closed after water truck downs power lines - The Press Democrat

A portion of the mountainous Trinity Road, from Highway 12 in Sonoma County to Cavedale Road in Napa County, was closed Monday afternoon after a water tanker truck veered off the road and knocked down some power lines.

As of 6 p.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol was letting locals who live in the area through, but the road was closed to everyone else.

Marc Renspurger, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol-Napa, said the water tanker truck went over the side of the road at about 3:30 p.m. It overturned a couple hundred feet down a hill.

There were no injuries to the driver or anyone else, Renspurger said, but it appeared the downed power lines were connected to the truck falling off the road.
